Beauty Tool Maintenance

Hair styling maintenance includes more than shampoos, conditioners and gels.

Remember the fundamental “tools of the trade” – hairdryers, straighteners and curling irons. Since they don’t get replaced as often as hair products, regular maintenance is essential.

To be safe, routinely check these appliances for exposed wires or loosened cables. And make sure they don’t have any broken or damaged parts.

Clean hairdryer filters often to remove dust, or residue from hair products. If possible, replace the filter with a new one.

If hairdryer vents get blocked, the hot air can’t push out, causing them to overheat.

So, before you turn on your hair styling appliances, make sure their maintenance is also part of your routine.
